By November she was such a great sleeper! She slept 10-12 hours every night! Not so good at naps though.. she's always been a "cat napper"! 30-45 min naps here and there! But im ok with that as long as this momma gets a good night's sleep:)
Madison is my lil' "doll"! She was spoiled rotten before she was even born and you can see that just by looking at her closet! It puts my wardrobe to shame! haha! Since she has so many outfits, she is only able to wear everything only once (maybe twice) before she outgrows it! So i went a little picture crazy! :)
On her 2 month birthday Madison got an UNWANTED surprise... her 2 month vaccination shots!! Poor baby... she was so happy the morning of and had no idea what she was going to be doing later that day:(
Luckily for us, she was soooo good! Daddy held her hands and i held her feet and she cried for 30 seconds as they were giving her the shot but as soon as daddy picked her up she stopped immediately! She then slept the whole day!!
Mid-November we went on Madison's first real "vacation"! We went to Pismo, CA for her Uncle Chris's wedding! We had so much fun and of course Madison was such a GOOD baby! Everyone kept complimenting how good she was during the whole wedding and reception! I was such a proud momma! :)
Going out of town was very stressful on me now that we had Madison! Packing for myself was one thing.. but packing for a newborn and me.. that was HARD!! So we tried to stay home as much as possible, but it seemed like we were headed out of town at least twice a month!By 9 weeks Madison was rolling over from tummy to back!!! She was so wiggly and just loved to move around!!
For Madison's 1st Thanksgiving we spent it without daddy! :(
He had to work so we went with Grandma and Grandpa Shine to the Shine Thanksgiving in Bakersfield, CA. It was nice because a lot of family members couldn't make it to Pismo so this was their 1st time meeting Madison! She even got to meet her Great Grandma Shine!! Everyone was so in love with her and she was in arms the whole time!! she just loved all the attention:)
The following day we went to a family members baby shower! Julie was pregnant with a girl too so she was excited to have Madison there to give her a "sneak peak"! :) Madison slept the whole time in her carrier! haha
We were able to celebrate a late Thanksgiving with dad! For the next few years that is how holidays will be. That is ok with me though because holidays aren't necessarily about the actual day but about spending time with loved ones and creating memories! James's parents and our nephew, Evan, came down to make a Thanksgiving feast and we had fun! :) Madison absolutely ADORES her cousin Evan and spending time with him! He is so helpful and loves playing with his little cousin! She is his only cousin! :)
I just LOVE watching Madison grow but it also makes me sad because she is growing up way too fast! I just LOVE our precious little princess!
