Madison James Shine: January 2011

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! What a great year this will be! Madison will learn to crawl, walk, talk... its gonna be an AMAZING year! It's very bittersweet.. i LOVE watching her hit her "milestones" BUT it makes me sad because she's growing sooo fast!! This month we celebrated her 4 month birthday! She got to start eating rice cereal and oatmeal at 4 & 1/2 months! She loved it!! She is moving alll over.. not by crawling but by rolling! Long gone are the days where we can leave her unattended for a quick second on the bed while we grab her diaper.. she would roll off! She got to meet her Great Grandma Woolley and Great Aunt Rosie from Michigan!! They just LOVED her!! Who wouldn't?! Also this month was mom and dad's first trip away!! :( I had to hear sooo many NEGATIVE comments about leaving her so soon but to each their own! While it was one of the hardest things i had to do, i felt ok with it because i knew Madison would be getting spoiled ROTTEN by her Grandma Shine <3 Her dad and i went to Portland, Oregon so James could tour the airport tower. We are considering moving there next year so we wanted to see what it was like before James applies for a job there! In the end, i was so glad i didn't bring Madison! She is too young to go on a plane and then dragged around in 30 degree weather (with snow!) It was also a nice time for her dad and i to get some much needed alone time:) By the time we got back, Madison decided she was a grandma's girl and i dont think she wanted to return home with us! haha! She loved staying at her grandma's and her grandma run a Montessori so she loved going to "school" and interacting with other kids!
