Madison sure is a stubborn one...

So currently i am 40weeks,5 days! Madison is showing NO signs of wanting to come out! Here i was thinking that she was going to show up early but NoooooO! My little sister had her 1st two kids almost 8 weeks early but i am having to evict Madison from her "home"! We had an Ob/Gyn appt on wednesday and he was a little concerned with her position because he said she seemed to have moved up!? So off we went to an ultrasound appointment.... the u/s tech was the same one who did our anatomy scan at 18 weeks. We werent too fond of him! He didnt talk(again) through the whole appointment...but at the end we asked if he could at least tell us the position of the baby? He said she was definitely head down! He then said the radiologist had to write the report and send it to my Dr. in a few hours. Flash forward to today (Friday), my nurse had called last night and ledt a message to inform me of a Non Stress Test (NST) that she had scheduled for today. So we woke up this morning and while getting ready for the NST my nurse called back to give me the results from the ultrasound. She said that my fluids were low and Madison was measuring small at around 38 weeks? Of course i FREAKED out! Got off the phone and panicked!!! But we still had to go to the appointment so off we went! I had never done a NST before so i had no idea what to expect... it was pretty simple though! They just strapped a heartrate monitor to my belly and had me sit there for 30 minutes. What they wanted to see was that everytime Madison moved, her heartrate went up at least 15 beats. They wanted to see at least 2 'spikes' in 30 minutes! Well they got one within 5 minutes but the other one took about 20..she was kinda sleepy i think:) So she came back to unhook me and she said i had only one small contraction during that time! BUMMMMMMER! Bring on the contractions! LoL!
So next we had to get another u/s to re-check my amniotic fluid levels. Head was definitely still down and [go figure] my amniotic fluid levels were good! Anything below a 6 is something to be worried about but i'm above a TEN! i have a feeling that the u/s tech who did my ultrasound on wednesday has NO IDEA what he's doing! But did they really have to worry me like that?!

So now we're relieved BUT the nurse told us today we still shouldnt go past 1 week overdue and will probably be induced this monday or tuesday! so whether Madison likes it or not, she should be here within the next 5 days!! Im so nervous to get induced and would really like to avoid a c-section at all costs!! I've tried sooo many of all those "natural" induction methods... they obviously are NOT working!!

so wish us luck and pray that Madison has a safe and healthy delivery into this world! I cant wait to meet our daughter and hold her tightly in my arms!! ♥
